Beth Allen-Gardner, Soprano - Specializing in Baroque Church Music
Thanks for your interest in The Beth Allen-Gardner Music Studio!
The studio has moved!  I've relocated to Burlington, North Carolina in order to further pursue a career as soloist and pedagogue.

The studio has provided private voice and piano lessons for five years to students ranging from 4 years old to mid-60's in Hunterdon and Somerset Counties, New Jersey.  I am focused on providing high-quality service and helping set personalized short-term and long-term goals for each student.  My teaching methods are based on the belief that the students' needs are of the utmost importance, and that together, we can create a personalized road map to success. As a result, a high percentage of my business has been from referrals by current students.
Before my time in New Jersey, I taught at the highly respected Chapel Hill School of Musical Arts(formerly Szymanski Studios, training grounds of American Idol's Anoop Desai!), as well as at the University of North Carolina School of Science and Math as an independent teacher.  I have a strong background in music history, theory, diction and education as well as a wide knowledge of many different styles of music.  Each voice student's repertoire is tailored to suit his or her unique musical style and tastes while also strengthening and equipping the vocal mechanism with more technical efficiency, range, and longevity.  Piano students usually follow the Faber and Faber lesson plan, which I've found to be clear, concise, and very reliable for improving technical skills and music literacy.  Beyond that, the sky's the limit in terms of what each lesson looks like.  I've worked closely with some students to help them produce professional solo recordings, and I've helped many others prepare for auditions and school performances including concerts, theater productions, and musicals.  I love to create games in order to make learning more enjoyable for my students.  Without fail, laughter has proven to be an integral part of the time I spend with students, as I find it helps relax tense youngsters (and oldsters!) and remind us that what we're doing is meant to be enjoyable!
I'm currently offering beginning, intermediate and advanced voice and piano lessons for children and adults in and around Burlington, NC.  Don't think you're a candidate for lessons?  Think again! I've helped students of many different ages and ability levels achieve goals beyond what they ever dreamed possible.  Look around the website, and if you have any questions or desire references, please feel free to contact me.
